Alison Degbe was born in Karlsruhe Germany, where she grew up and got in touch with her love of music at an early age. After getting musical education in school she studied the voice for 4 years at the Badisches Konservatorium Karlsruhe. By the age of 18 Alison moved to cologne to focus on her musical works. After setting her base in the new hometown she set up her jazz-project “13 songs to kill your lover”. In 2001 they were the opening -act of the 1. cologne jazzfestival for none other than James Brown. Alison always kept the focus on several musical genres, e.g. she was the front-singer of the funk-band "Delicious Grooves" from 1998-2003 , in 2001 she gave her heavenly voice to the Drum´n Bass - Projektes "72 bpm" . Since 2002 she is producing and writing her own songs for production companies like Candy Station. Alison has written soundtracks for short-movies and advertising films, which have also won awards. After doing background vocals for acts like Lionel Richie and Gwen McCrae and Grace Jones now Alison Degbe is to touring the Club world,focused on performing her own songs at club nights, art vernissages and fair/business events, e.g. peforming at the “Glamour Magazine”-Party at the Berlin fashion week or at a Motorola Boat Party on the River Rhine. Alison Degbe has released her own songs on several well-known compilations like “Café Solaire Milan” (Volume 5 + 8) on the highly respected Soulstar Label and had vinyl releases on labels like ProgCity (Sublabel of Peppermint Jam). Her tracks “Lost in desire” and “Nowhere” are released on the “The Defloristics”-Album on the Italian based Little Angel Records. Jürgen Paape from the cologne lable Kompakt released with Alison "Come into my life" 2008. Currently Alison is working on her debut-album and on severel vinyl-projects with Iko Itzu, Irvin Leshet,Flamingo Star as well as with Alex B. Groove from Cologne.
